This trail is a blast, to get to it take hwy 69 to walker rd , turn onto walker you can only go south. We usually park in the China Buffet parking lot or the parking lot about 1/2 mile up Walker road on the right side called the Ranch Trail # 62 / 305 Parking lot , This lot closes at 8pm so not a good place to park for a night ride or a late afternoon ride as they will close the gate at 8 pm.

From this parking lot you can take trail 62 or trail 305 . The 305 trail head is in the south end of the parking lot . This trail is a lot of fun as it has pine forest and roller coaster hard pack trail. It’s about 70% up hill when you head south so you get a nice down hill feel on your way back . It gets steeper as you get about 5 miles up the trail and a bit challenging towards the end for a good work out.

This trail T bones into Bannie Mine road at Walker Rd. If you cross Walker Rd you will see Smith Ravine Trail but that’s another story . On your way down 305 you will have a blast ! Be on your toes for some big dips about 3/4 of a mile down. Then enjoy some fast off camber single track with a few fun rock obstacles. This trail has some fun straightaways too. You will cross several of the Lynx Lake camp ground roads so watch for cars when crossing.

There are a lot of deer in these woods too so keep an eye out, also some very big jack rabbits when night riding. All in all this is a really fun trail I highly recommend. Trails near by to also check out is Salida Gultch Rocky as heck and steep trail 62 and Smith Ravine.
